  18.         "ATOMS" is played on 8x8 board. Each player has "atoms" of his own
  19. color. An "atom" can be placed at a square with "atoms" of the same color
  20. or at an empty square. Only one "atom" of each color can be placed on board
  21. in one turn.
  22.         When number of "atoms" (mass) in any square reaches his "critical"
  23. value, the "chain fission reaction" begins from this square. All "atoms"
  24. are flashed to neibour squares. If there are any "atoms" in those squares
  25. they change their color to the color of intruder, and if their number
  26. reaches critical value the chain reaction continues. Game ends when all
  27. "atoms" on the board have the same color.
  28.         Critical masses:
  29.                 2 - for corner squares;
  30.                 3 - for side squares;
  31.                 4 - for other squares.

  36.         This game has local mode (two players at one computer) and
  37. net mode (up to six players, each one with his own computer). To
  38. start the game in local mode use -L key:

  42.         "ATOMS" can be played in its net mode in almost any local
  43. network environment. The only requiment is the possibility of shared
  44. use of just one file. There is no need to create this file before
  45. playing, just type its path in command line at each workstation.

  56.  First player:   Use 'W','E' to move cursor Up,

  58.                      'A'                  - Left,

  60.                      SPACE or TAB to place your atom.

  62.  Second player:  Use UpArrow to move cursor Up,
  63.                      DonwArrow            - Down,
  64.                      LeftArrow            - Left,
  65.                      RightArrow           - Right,
  66.                      ENTER to place your atom.
